Magdalena Pilko (born in Austria, 1979) studied photography in Vienna and The Hague. In her projects, she often emphasizes the ephemeral character of the moment and its relation to the photographic medium, her work being an exercise in attention and close observation. In 2013, inclined to further deepen her interest in photographic materials, she took up conservation studies at the UvA in Amsterdam at which she is currently following the master in photo conservation.
